Mike Smith loves to ride his bike and to travel. Twenty years ago he sold a successful surveying company to follow his heart. After exploring a good portion of the world on two wheels, he landed a job guiding backcountry mountain bike tours. Sharing his knowledge and love for unique landscapes and ancient cultures has been his passion ever since. With over fifteen years experience guiding tours in Nepal, the Western United States, and more recently, Vietnam and Cambodia, Mike is an expert leader, well versed in all aspects of adventure travel. Even though he extensively researches each trip, he strongly believes in embracing the unexpected, allowing individuals the freedom and flexibility to seek out the most unique and unforgettable experiences. When not leading trips to exotic places, he is occasionally spotted driving around Moab, Utah in a 1984 Mercedes run on french fry oil.
